Obituary for Andrea Lovenguth

Andrea J. ‘AJ’ Lovenguth 50, of Rome, NY passed away on Friday October 29, 2021 at the Abraham House, Rome, NY with her husband at her side. She was born in Utica, NY on December 15, 1970 a daughter of Dennis & Theresa LaPorte Gregory and was a graduate of Utica Senior Academy in 1988. On September 30, 2000 she married Charles V. ‘Chuck’ Lovenguth in St. Mary of Carmel Church, Utica, NY. Andrea worked in the medical field for nearly 30 years doing medical transcriptions, clerical work and scheduling for employers such as United Cerebral Palsy, Central New York Cardiology, Utica National Insurance, and the Rome Medical Group, among others. Andrea was a recreational and competitive bowler for over 30 years, with many honors and accomplishments, and was a proud member of New York State Women’s Bowling Association 600 Club and the USBC 700 Club. She enjoyed exploring and traveling, of which DisneyWorld was by far her favorite destination - she held a special affinity for Donald Duck. Having a love for music, she attended over 300 concerts. A nearly rabid Buffalo Bills fan, Sundays were always spent watching them during the football season, attending many games in person. She was also a proud active member of the Sons of Italy, Utica chapter from an early age.
     Surviving are her husband, Chuck, their son Andrew, and their daughter Victoria. Additional family members she leaves are her mother, Theresa Gregory, Utica, NY, a sister, Michele Riter, Utica, NY, a brother, Dennis Gregory, Ft Lauderdale, FL, her in laws, Val & Loren ‘Punk’ Lovenguth, and her brother -in-law, Robert ‘BJ’ Lovenguth, all of Williamstown, NY, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Andrea was predeceased by her father, Dennis.
     Funeral services will be held 7:00pm Wednesday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 - 7:00pm prior to services at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Abraham House, 417 N.
