Obituary for Brittany Jones
Brittany Lee Jones 35, of Camden, NY passed away unexpectedly Monday July 25, 2022 as a result of a house fire. She was born in Rome, NY a daughter of Lowell ‘Bo’ Shapely and Maria Winton. Brittany was a 2005 graduate of Camden High School and a 2009 graduate of LeMoyne College, Syracuse, NY. On October 3, 2009, she married Aaron M. Jones in the Sylvan Beach Chapel, Sylvan Beach, NY. Brittany was currently working for the Oneida County Department of Social Services as a Homeless Liaison in the Rome, NY office. She had worked for Oneida County since 2010. Brittany also served as volunteer cook for the Lt. Victor Giles VFW Post, was a member of the Camden Little League Booster Club and operated the concession stand at Camden Yards. She also enjoyed gardening.
She was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a hero… She leaves behind her husband, Aaron Jones, their son, Anthony Jones, her mother, Maria & Frances Brown, Yulee, FL, her father, Lowell ‘Bo’ & Bonnie Shapley, Blossvale, NY, mother- in law, Lisha & Tony Rivera, Camden, NY, father- in law, Rodney & Beth Jones, Herkimer, NY, two sisters- in law, Kayla & Collin Svereika, Central Square, NY and Megan Jones, Camden, NY, sisters, Tiffany Metott & Robert Royce, Jr, Yulee, FL, Erin & Jessica Shapley-Blenis, Norwich, NY, four brothers, Robert Shapley, Sumpter, SC, Lowell ‘BJ’ & Rosemary Shapley, Sumpter, SC, Ronald Shapley, Ohio and Eric Brown, Yulee, FL, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held 7:00pm Tuesday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 7:00pm prior to services at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Interment McConnellsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a GoFundMe account for Aaron and Brittany Jones in lieu of flowers.
