Burton F. Darling 79, of Redfield, NY passed away at his home on May 14, 2022 after a long illness. He was born in Redfield, NY, a son of Ralph & Celia Harvey Darling and was educated in Camden Schools. Burt entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1964. On Sept 28, 1968 he married the former Linda Durst in Redfield, NY. Burt was a truck driver for most of his life, driving for Sears Oil Co., Owl Wire Co and NFI Walmart prior to retirement. Burt served as Past Commander of the Meeker-O’Rourke American Legion Post #1309, Taberg, NY, Life member of Leon R. Roberts Post # 161, Holland Patent, NY, Upton Post # 8259, Stittville, NY, and Marine Corp League,   E. L. Smith Jr, Det # 245, Rome, NY. and the Grace Fellowship Church, Redfield, NY. Burt was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Linda, two daughters, Crystal Darling & Tesha Roberts, Watertown, NY, Rhonda Clarke, Rome, NY, two sons, Eric & Jennifer Darling, Holland Patent, NY, Randall & Kandie Darling, Colorado Springs, CO, 7 grandchildren; Rebecca, Amanda, Josh, Amy, Angel, Matthew and Kyle, several great grandchildren, a sister, Marlene Darrh, Parish, NY and several beloved nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Oxley and a brother, Vern Walker, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 -7 pm at the funeral home, 109 Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers.
