Eric L. ‘Rick’ Rasha 68, of Camden, NY passed away at Rome Hospital on Sunday March 27, 2022 after a long illness. Rick was born January 16, 1954 in Rome, NY a son of Harlow & Shirley Eychner Rasha and was a 1972 graduate of Rome Free Academy. On July 6, 1974, he married the former Madalyn ‘Kathy’ Treonze in Rome, NY. Rick had worked for Meyers Heating & Plumbing and Carpenter’s Hardware for many years. He retired in 2014 as Manager of Utica Plumbing, Rome Division. Rick was a member of T. C. Rider’s Snowmobile Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and dancing with his high school sweetheart, Kathy.  Surviving are his wife, Kathy, their son, Chad M. Rasha, Camden, NY, his nieces and nephews; Heather & Mike Andrewski, Jeff & Laura Rasha and Ryan & Tara Nutting, several aunts, uncles and cousins along with his best friends, Bill Mitchell, Bob Pelton, Jack Christmas, Jim Toepp, John Colbert and his canine companion, Brody. Rick was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Gary E. Rasha, 2013. “Oh our lives are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain, but I’d have missed the dance..”  In honoring Rick’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the  Camden Ambulance, American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY.
