Javene A. Young 81, passed away on Saturday July 16, 2022 at the Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Rome, NY where she had been a resident since July 2019. Javine was born October 23, 1940 in Bainbridge, NY a daughter of H. George and Mary Meinen Young . She had a career as an elementary school teacher in the local area. Javene was also a physical education teacher and an assistant Girls Basketball coach at Eastern Kentucky University. Javene enjoyed animals and was known for her love of horses and raising Old English Sheep dogs. Surviving are many caring cousins, she also had dear friends from the Morrisville-Eaton graduation class of 1958, as well as many neighbors and friends. Javene wished that there be no services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment will take place at Eaton Cemetery. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Wanderers Rest Humane Association, Canastota, NY 13032.
