Jessie I. “Tootsie” Baker 83, of Rome, NY, formerly of the Camden area passed away June 11, 2022 at the home of her daughter. Tootsie was born August 31, 1938 in Rome, NY a daughter of Walter & Jessie Irish Baker. She enjoyed knitting, anything Coca Cola, playing dice, cards and her video games. Tootsie also loved spending time with her family and had a passion for little mice collectables. Surviving are four daughters; Billie Jo Caporilli, Rome, NY, Peggy & Kevin Huff, Buffalo, NY, Wanda ‘Snookie’ Delahunt, Rome, NY, Becky Jo Donai, Boonville, NY and a son, Alex & Julie Stempien, 13 grandchildren; Todd Benjamin, Sammy Caporilli, Jason, Lonnie and Derek Delahunt, Tonya Russell, Theresa Brower, Savannah Bartlett, Chance Olson, Julie Ann Cutler, Bruce Stempien, Tim Fonville, Jeff Russell, several great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews including a special niece that was more like a sister, Linda Williamson, Camden, NY and her beloved canine companion, ‘Girlfriend’. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a son in law, Sam Caporilli, two sisters, Joyce Fanning, Shirley Fuller, seven brothers, Morris, Floyd, Bill, Riley, Harold, Walter ‘Sonny’ and Donald Baker, two grandchildren, Timmy & Chad Brower. Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Rome Humane Society.
