Obituary for Joseph Renwick

Joseph L. Renwick, 76 of Camden, NY passed away Thursday December 16, 2021 in Oneida, NY with family by his side. He was born April 26, 1945 the son of Clifford L. & Lucy A. Towsley Renwick. Joe was married to his true love, Karen M (Ammann) Renwick, for 33 wonderful years. They wed on October 29, 1988 at the Hillsboro Church in Camden, NY. Shortly after, their family was completed with the birth of their son, Andrew. Joe was a very caring and loving husband and father.  Joe loved the farm. If not at a local farm, you could find him at Stewart’s or McDonald’s visiting with friends while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee. Throughout the years, he enjoyed raising cows, sheep, chickens and pigs. Joe and Andrew spent the fall seasons harvesting pumpkins, and the winter seasons tapping and boiling maple syrup. As Andrew became an adult they were inseparable. Sharing their love of long drives, scratching lottery tickets, and even getting in an afternoon nap. In the Renwick household, NASCAR was very important! The Daytona 500 was their “Super Bowl” making a full event out of it. Together they visited multiple NASCAR raceways and museums. Andrew passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2018 and recently, Joe had lost his loving wife, Karen on December 4, 2021.  Joe was an amazing uncle and he always treated his nieces and nephews like they were his own. From filling up stock tanks to swim in at the farm, to attending school Halloween parades and even giving the best hayrides through the fields. Anyone who knew Joe, knew he had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Joe worked for many years and retired from Utica Converter’s.
