Obituary for Keith Comins

Keith Joseph Comins, 74, of Cleveland, NY, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on November 14, 2021. Keith was a son of Nelson J. and Naomi A. Seaman Comins. A native of Syracuse, he was a graduate of Corcoran High School and went on to become a skilled forklift driver at Carrier Corporation from where he retired after 37 years of service. He married his childhood sweetheart, Mary F. (Czaja) in October of 1967 at St. Anthony's Church, Syracuse, NY, enjoying 54 years of marriage. The couple started building their home in Cleveland in 1973, making this their permanent residence since 1977. He loved working in his yard, playing with his grandchildren and driving his dog, Buster around in his golf cart. He was an avid fisherman in his younger days and loved to partake in the family card night marathons.
He is survived by his wife Mary, a son, Gary (Shannon) Comins of Liverpool and two daughters, Judith (David) Taylor, of Liverpool and Sr. Debra Marie, a novice of the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate in Monroe; three brothers, Roger Comins of New York, Kenneth (Mary) Comins of Virginia, and Andrew (Vicki) Comins of Colorado; three sisters, Kathleen (Jack) Stanton of Clay, Christine (Al) Thompson of Mississippi, and Virginia (Richard) Knickerbocker of Cicero; two grandchildren, Anthony and Joshua Taylor, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his oldest brother, Ronald Comins.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Saturday at St. John's Church, under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., Camden, NY. Interment Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at the funeral home, 109 Main Street Camden, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central New York, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, New York in lieu of flowers. You may view the obituary and send a message of condolence online.
