Obituary for Zillora Grass (Kalk)
Westdale---Zillora J. Grass, 72, of Cemetery Road, died Saturday morning August 13, 2022, at her residence following a brief illness. Zillora was born on July 10, 1950, in Rome a daughter of Riley A. and Lillian Scram Kalk. A lifelong resident of the area she was a graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1968 and SUNY Oswego in 1971. She was an office assistant at SUNY Oswego for 23 years retiring in July 2014. On May 7, 1972, she married Joseph P. Grass in Westdale.
Zillora was a member of the Abundant Life Community Church in Camden. She loved to read and crochet, however her biggest joy was teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her children; John-Jay (Jenny) Grass of Camden, Crystal (Robert) Harter of Westdale, six grandchildren; Jacynthia (Richard) Clark, Jasmine (Coltin) Lockhart, Tybarius (Clara Runfola) Harter, Theodore Halsdorfs III, Alicia Halsdorfs and Savannah Grass, five great grandchildren Ty, Kal-El, Xzavier, Raelynn and Jane, one brother; Riley J. Kalk in Washington and her former husband Joseph (Deanna) Grass of Jacksonville, FL. She was pre-deceased by her parents and one infant sister, Sara.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday August 21, 2022 from the Abundant Life Community Church, 86 Mexico Street, Camden, NY. Please bring a 3 x 5 index card with a memory to share so the family may put it in a scrapbook. Memorial Contributions may be made to the June Bray Memorial Playground, P.O.
